Wired High School Seminars
Introducing High School students to Jesus
SU equips, trains and resources local Christians and CPSW’s to provide religious education seminars that are educationally sound and biblically faithful. Designed to introduce key Christian beliefs, Wired Seminars provide a chance for students to explore the Bible in an setting of open enquiry. Seminars are intended for classroom based groups of up to 60 students.

The new High School seminar is hot off the presses, has been trialled, and is ready to use.
The two session, classroom-based seminar enables students to assess their own hopes and dreams for their future, explore the connection between our view of the future and the way we live our lives in the present, and to begin understanding the Christian basis for hope through examining and discussing Romans 5:1-8 in an atmosphere of enquiry and exploration. Our prayer is that this seminar will be used to communicate to many high school students the firm hope that Jesus gives through his life, death and resurrection.

Originally designed as part of the integrated POV Program (involving seminars, lunchtime activities and a camp), the Global Connections Seminar is finding use as a stand-alone resource. Like HOPE, the seminar uses activities, up-front presentation, small group work, and investigation of the Bible (each student receives a copy of Luke’s Gospel) to discover the person of Jesus and what he has to say about how our attitude towards God affects how we view and use our possessions.
By tapping into a ‘hot’ topic for school students, this seminar is able to demonstrate that Jesus is interested in the whole person, not just the ‘spiritual’ dimension. A student at Cowell Area School who recently participated came to the conclusion that ‘God’s a great man!’
