| Vocational Training School | Scripture Union runs
exciting camps, conferences and seminars for primary
school and secondary school students. These normally run
over weekends or for up to one week during school
holidays. In recent years camps have been run in Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Pemba, Kilimanjaro and Arusha regions. Various training, sports and other leisure activities are included in the camps, so that the young people have a great time while learning skills for all aspects of their lives. Teaching young people how to enjoy reading and studying the Bible for themselves is an essential part of all SU camps. SU runs a camping and conference centre near Arusha as of the SU Imbaseni Centre. The Centre was built with practical and financial help from friends in Germany, UK and Tanzania. It comprises several buildings in an attractive garden setting and includes a conference hall, dormitories, guest houses, a bookshop, a dispensary, a Vocational Training School and staff residences.
